According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus want to sign a top-class goalkeeper this summer and are interested in Liverpool’s Alisson Becker.
Liverpool recently extended Alisson’s contract and it now runs until 2027, so the final decision will rest with the Premier League giants. As for the 33-year-old Brazil international himself, he is open to the idea of returning to Italy, having joined Liverpool from Roma in 2018, but he will respect the wishes of his current club, and he is prepared to discuss his future with them first.
Liverpool signed Alisson on the back of their heartbreak from the 2018 Champions League final in Kiev against Real Madrid, when two glaring errors from Loris Karius cost them dearly, for a world-record fee of over €70million. The Brazil international has since been one of the most important pieces of everything Liverpool have done, including winning the Champions League and the Premier League twice. In all competitions, he’s kept 137 clean sheets in 332 matches so far, and along with numerous superb saves, he will be remembered for the crucial goal he scored against West Bromwich Albion in 2021, helping the Reds secure Champions League qualification for the following season.
