According to Calciomercato, AC Milan are open to selling Rafael Leao this summer, valuing his services at around €60million with two years remaining on his contract. Manchester United and Barcelona are believed to be watching the situation closely.
The 26-year-old Portugal international hasn’t been at his best lately. He hasn’t completed a Serie A game on the pitch since the start of March, and in the five matches he did play in that period, he recorded only one assist.
Leao reportedly had an altercation with teammate Christian Pulisic after the 1-0 loss to Lazio last month, and was extremely unhappy with Milan boss Maximiliano Allegri when he was subbed off. Allegri played the conflicts down in subsequent press conferences and called for his team to “wake up” as the season entered a crucial stage, but Leao’s displeasure seems to be lingering and to have caused further issues within the club.
Be that as it may, Milan’s chances of staying in the Scudetto race for much longer are extremely slim. If Inter Milan beat Torino today (Sunday) and Milan do not beat Juventus immediately after, Inter will be crowned Serie A champions with four matches to spare.
