Vincent Kompany has “100% confidence” in his Bayern Munich support staff as he prepares to serve a touchline suspension against Paris Saint-Germain.
Kompany is suspended for Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg at the Parc des Princes.
His assistant, Aaron Danks, will take charge against the European champions.
“Danksy has plenty of experience, was on the touchline for a while in England,” said Kompany, who has received three yellow cards in the Champions League this term.
“I’ve got 100% confidence in the staff and everyone else.”

Kompany has won both of his Champions League meetings with PSG (1-0 in November 2024 and 2-1 in November 2025).
If Bayern win here, Kompany will have the most victories of any manager against Luis Enrique in the competition (three).
“We’ll miss him on the touchline. He’s our boss, a coach who’d love to be out there with us,” said Bayern’s star striker Harry Kane, whose 12 goals this season are already the most by an English player in a European Cup/Champions League campaign.
Kane has scored in each of his last four knockout stage games in the competition, and could equal the longest streak by a Bayern player in the Champions League (five by Robert Lewandowski between 2016 and 2018).
Bayern have won each of their last five games against PSG in the Champions League, including one earlier this season (2-1 last November).
This is already the longest winning streak a team has achieved against PSG in major European competition (five).
