Nicolas Jackson will not stay at Bayern Munich next season and will return to Chelsea, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The well-known and well-respected Italian journalist has reported that Bayern will not trigger the option to make the loan deal of the 24-year-old Senegal international striker permanent in the summer of 2026.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “There is interest from Italy, but for Italian clubs, the only way possible is eventually a loan deal, a creative deal structure, and we have to see what Chelsea want to do because I am sure Chelsea wll try to find a different kind of solution before accepting a loan opportunity from Italy.
“So, that’s the status of the story. There is interest from Premier League as well.
“One yeat ago, August 2025, in the final days of the market, Aston Villa were interested, Newcastle were interested, let’s see if these clubs will appear again, but, for sure, Jackson is going to be one of the names of the summer, returning to Chelsea and then one to watch, with the possibility to find a new club after the Bayern loan.”
