Matteo Moretto has reported that Juventus will have to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season in order to sign Bernardo Silva.
The Portuguese attacking midfielder will leave Manchester City at the end of the season and will become a free agent.
Journalist Moretto said: “The last time we talked about it, I also slightly don’t want to tell you pushed on the subject, but I explained how Bernardo is absolutely the priority for this Juventus.
“Juventus is looking for a Bernardo player, so the top priority is Bernardo Silva.
“Then if Bernardo Silva should not be reached, maybe other solutions will be looked at, but Juventus should enter the Champions League, and this is the fundamental condition to be able to get to Bernardo.
“Juventus will do everything to try to please Bernardo both from an economic point of view and clearly from a technical point of view, because in any case the Champions League would have a particular charm.
Bernardo is trying to give priority to still winning projects, so he doesn’t want to leave Europe to date.
“To date, then if something were to change and so on, we will tell you, but Bernardo would like to stay in Europe.
“Juventus is there, it is trying, we will understand together if this issue can go ahead, but surely all of Juventus is aligned on this kind of goal”.
